Coryanthes alborosea

Coryanthes alborosea C.Schweinf., Amer. Orchid Soc. Bull. 12: 242 (1943).
Distribution: Peru.
The first time this flowered the colour was semi-transluscent white. Subsequent flowering colour as in the image shown. This was due to a change in the fertilizer used. This species grows in ant's nest in the wild and is heavily fertilised with the ant's faeces, so is a fast grower. I managed to self pollinate this species successfully.
