Vanda Boondall (V.hindsii x V. Rothschildiana)

Not what would be called a show flower, more a rare hybrid.

Bred by Percy (Dick) Searle and registered by him in 1982 using V.hindsii as a parent.

There are only two registered hybrids with V.hindsii and I believe this plant is the only survivor.

The other crossing was V. Owen Stanley (V. hindsii x V. Miss Jaoquim) made and registered by John Jones of Limberlost Orchids in 1963.

Vanda hindsii is the only Australian Vanda species, also comes from Papua New Guinea.
