Paphiopedilum rothschildianum (Rchb.f.) Stein, Orchid.-Buch: 482 (1892).
Distribution: Borneo (Mt. Kinabalu)
Paphiopedilum rothschildianum 'Pat' is well grown and flowered by Ken Smart. This species is known only from a very limited range on Mt. Kinabalu and is widely regarded as one of the most fabulous and spectactular orchids. It can take up to 15 years to flower from seedlings but is well worth the wait!

What about The Whole Plant ?
Any chance of putting up an image of the whole plant ?
Anton
may have sold this plant
I'll see if that is possible. The grower has moved on out of Paphs and unfortunately he may have sold this plant....not sure how you could do that myself.
Regards wellsy
You're Joking ???!!!
HOW could you SELL a plant like that ????????
Some people are blinded by money............sad................very sad. :o(
Anton
it's not the money
No...it's not the money...the gent in question has simply moved on to easier things to look after. His age has caught up with him and he has decided to grow less demanding plants.
I can understand that myself really but still not sure if I could part with a thing of such beauty It would be very hard.
