Our reinvented orchid auction is coming!

There has been a lot of talk here recently about the orchid auction coming back or not.
As many of you will know who have been visiting Orchids Online for a long time. This new auction version will be the third incarnation of the same extraordinarily successful concept.
The auction was the vehicle which has made this entire website viable due to the huge numbers of people who found their way to orchids online as a result of web search results directly to the auction area.
The revenue which that traffic has provided is just about enough to fund this project on its own and coupled with the almost as successful 'interactive' area we now have a self funding community area which may even make some money in the long run for its long suffering and hard working admins.

Thanks Steve.
Thanks for the link, just thought it was important for users to follow the plot.

absolutely FREE to use
One thing I think that many of you are forgetting about the orchid auction here at Orchids Online is that it always has been and always will be absolutely FREE to use for both sellers and buyers alike.

auction
Is the auction, buy/sell or swap to be included in the current post section? personally I think that this would detract from the flow the discussion and presentation. I know it's easy for me to say, not being involved with admin or the auction. Newspapers and other publications always keep adverts and sales seperate, this helps both the seller and buyer. Please don't take my comments as a criticism but as a constructive suggestion.

two different systems
The auction is absolutely separate...it is even at an entirely different URL with separate login required.
The buy/sell or swap concept is intertwined with the current orchids online system here. You can submit your photos and information and simply include the item as a showcase for what you want to sell.
This is a discussion so all criticism is treated as constructive and therefore welcome Bernard.
