Phalaenopsis species

Original submission as Phal. speca

Phalaenopsis species

Phalaenopsis fasciata?

I believe this may be Phalaenopsis fasciata pak sheikh.

Compare with this one here http://www.orchidsonline.com.au/node/2542
What do you think?

Different angle of view but the concentric circles do it for me.

Regards wellsy

fasciata looks good

Well done Wellsy, Phal. fasciata looks spot on to me also.

All we need now is Pak Sheikh to agree.

Hello Pak Sheikh, your original submission was Phal. speca and that orchid name isn't valid so I edited your submission to read Phal. species thinking that is what you meant your submission to read.

Wellsy and I have both confirmed it to be Phal. fasciata in our humble opinions, we are not experts.

If you believe your plant to be Phal. speca, please let us know what reference you are using, we all learn from that.

Hi guys,I had to thanks to u guys for the good effort actually.Anyway i've just had the confirmation with regards to the sp id. Most probably its a primary hybrid between fasciata and heiroglyphica.Well guys sorry for the trouble anyway....
Thanks again n best regards,
Pak sheikh

hybrid is a possibility

It's never any trouble. Just good if we can get an ID for the benefit of all.

Yes, I guess a hybrid is a possibility. I did actually think of Phalaenopsis hieroglyphica when I started to look as the markings are a little different than what I have seen of Phalaenopsis fasciata and I did look around but decided it looked more like Phalaenopsis fasciata.
