Bulbophyllum sp
EDIT: As per below discussion
Is this a Dendrobium? It looks a little like D. toressae but there are several differences. The leaves are just on 10mm. It was taken from a roadside fallen branch in Far North Queensland after the cyclones in 2006 - if it ever flowered I have missed it.

Dendrobium Sp. ?
In growth it looks like Bulb.radicans to me.Distribution is inland from Mackay up to Cooktown. In the wet tropics it ranges from sea level to 1000m. and is seen growing on rainforest trees and in some places on rocks.
Pawpaw
pawpaw I think you are right
pawpaw I think you may be right about this one. It's a smallish plant from those I have seen but it looks close to right to me. Its always hard not having a scale to compare with though. Could even be B. macphersonii???

tending towards B. macphersonii
I am tending towards B. macphersonii after looking again pawpaw.
What do you think?

Checking
Wellsy, I'll bring my Bulb. radicans in tomorrow and check it with the one on the screen.
distinct and tightly bunched
at the right hand end of the photo the psuedobulbs are quite distinct and tightly bunched which steers me away from radicans towards macphersonii. It could be that because the plant has fallen down and been lying around for a while it has deteriorated giving it a different look???
I await further from you here.
Oh...it's definitely a Bulbophyllum bye the way papillon!
Regards wellsy
Bulbophyllum
Thanks Pawpaw and Wellsy.
It's been growing on its current home (outside) since 2006 so perhaps it is not do so well - I'll pay more attention it.

Bulb. macphersonii
Wellsy , after checking my Bulb. radicans with papillion's plant I agree with you It's Bulb. macphersonii which has fleshy leaves that are channel on the upper surface and are about 10mm long compared to Bulb. radicans having leaves up to 50mm long and 15mm acrossand reasonably flat and shiny green. There is a very good article in an old Australian Orchid Review on Australian Bulbophyllums. Its Volume 66 No 6 December 2001/January 2002.
Pawpaw
I think we could safely
I think we could safely label it as B. macphersonii pawpaw. What do you think?
